Our Mission

We are a private enterprise committed to promoting an active, healthy, budget friendly, non-competitive, sustainable lifestyle, for the young and the young at heart. We want to introduce the cruising lifestyle to more people and offer opportunities for those interested to learn and experience life on the water and in nature. We organize and sometimes join others in various outdoor activities, located at different places along our journey, for a better physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

Using a small, nimble but capable boat (arguably the best exploration boat out there), we are looking forward to traveling long distances, taking on the world’s oceans as well as exploring coastlines and waterways out of reach to most blue water sailboats.

Outfitted with the newest safety and state of the art equipment, GPS navigation, integrated autopilot and satellite weather forecasting services, it is our goal to sail and explore difficult to reach places, sites and cultures.

Purpose

The purpose of this site is to share the information and knowledge acquired, so that others can experience and enjoy this lifestyle with all it has to offer.

We’ll be posting photos, videos and music, some of which may be available for sale. We are crowd funded and always appreciate much needed donations in order to keep the adventures going. We’ll also provide links to vendors who sell and/or service some of the equipment we’ve installed and trust.

The Boat

A 2006 MacGregor 26M, purchased in July of 2013 from Dana Point Marina (California), just a stone throw away form the factory in Costa Mesa where it was built. Rodger Macgregor, the visionary who started the company decided to stop production in 2013 (mainly because of ever increasing regulatory burdens). The production facilities were subsequently moved to Florida and taken over by Rodger’s daughter and son in law.

Capable of floating in less than 3 Feet of water (1M). This boat is perhaps the largest size allowed for a trailerable sailboat, able to travel on public roads without any special hauling permits. Originally built as a super lightweight, it was subsequently stiffened and modified to house many of the creature comforts found in much large blue water cruisers, while preserving its original balance and keeping the added weight to an absolute minimum.
